Ron
White |

|
Ron began his yoga practice twelve years ago when he was teaching several other forms of fitness and needed the cross-training for what he thought was only flexibility. He realized the total value of yoga with mind, breath, body, and spirituality as a holistic approach to fitness and well-being. He was certified through Bally’s and went further to get certification with Expert Rating Global Certification.
Realizing the need to teach many different body types in larger yoga classes, Ron began to practice with as many instructors as possible throughout Ohio and on the East and West coasts. He has studied popular flows developed by main stream yogis such as Baron Baptiste, Manuso, and Rodney Yee, in order to weave a common thread throughout his teaching. Ron also incorporates a multi-platform strategy for yoga practice, which includes Vinyasa, Iyengar, Anusara, Jivamukti, and Hatha, to mention only a few. This multi-template practice enables him to help multiple physiologies simultaneously in one class. Ron feels that in the United States, there is a great deal of differentiation needed during yogic practice, so in order to meet the needs of varying levels of practice of the students in his classes, Ron incorporates introductory postures with level two, level three, and a few of the level four postures.
“…An awesome yoga class challenges you, and nurtures your spirit at the same time, it lures you inwards, and empowers you to begin to realize relationships – it teaches you awareness, and helps you to get to know yourself.”

Deirdre Sargent |
 |
After her first yoga class in middle school, Deirdre promised to never attend another after being called a panty-waist by the teacher while in her very first downward facing dog. After a broken promise and many adho mukha svanasanas later, Deirdre met her beloved teacher Michele Baker. Deirdre completed the rigorous Swan River Yoga teacher training program with her teacher. Michele studied directly under Sharon Gannon, John Friend and Ram Dass whose influences have guided her to a unique style of her own. Michele describes this style as “Linked by breath, a Swan River Yoga class will have an equal emphasis on the physical and metaphysical, displaying both skillful alignment and organic flow, with intentional mantra, a philosophical theme, and personal tools to access independence in every class.” Deirdre brings chanting to every class along with tons of other fun stuff. She is excited to be getting involved with the Fairlawn Yoga community after recently moving here from New Orleans. |

Garrett Pavlovicz |
 |
Garrett once went to yoga workshop where the instructor said to the class (many of whom were fellow yoga instructors) "Many new people will come to your yoga classes looking for some sort of physical fitness, but they will only stay and keep coming back if they find something more." Living proof of that statement is Garrett, who started taking yoga classes as a means to supplement his weight training. Being skeptical at first, he entered a "Gentle Yoga" class and he left feeling completely energized, yet relaxed. Once hooked on yoga, he slowly started to increase the frequency and the level of his practice. Intrigued by the different styles of yoga, he has studied Anusara, Hatha, Ashtanga, Iyengar, Kripalu, Restorative, Power Flow, and any other style he could find. Garrett is elated to teach Restorative Yoga and to share the benefits he has received from yoga with his students. |
